R&D effort into high speed wireless launches in Singapore

Singapore's Institute of High Performance Computing (IHPC) has just initiated an 18 month initiative: a "1st R&D Electromagnetic Consortium" with leading industry players in communication, security, automotive, test and measurement, intelligent transport and alternative energy.
"The consortium will be able to innovate and develop faster and more efficient prototypes in the areas of ultra-high speed and ultra-high capacity communications and 21st century electronics," reports ResearchSEA publicist, Magdeline Pokar. "Current commercial devices that use such technologies include sensors, wireless access points, Bluetooth technology devices and GPS mapping systems."
