A chance to visit a London pub and play with the new Treo

Warning: not since the Harry Potter official web site have we seen a more irritating front page than the invite from Palm to the Black Sheep. It is an event in the evenings of October 13-17 from 18.45 till closing time, and it's an opportunity to see and play with the new Treo Pro.

"Come in, have a look around, and if you define yourself by being different, register now by clicking on the pen for your chance to get free tickets and be part of this exciting and innovative experience." says the invite.

Venue is The Black Sheep, The Boiler House, The Old Truman Brewery, London E1 6QL - and no, there's no Sinclair QL available, either!

The site, sadly, is all Flash animations, and time wasted, waiting for self-indulgent graphics. Click on the picture of a pint of beer, and you get directed to www.blacksheeppub.net/ and its invite details.

That page had just better render properly on the Treo pro, or there will be blood on the bar!
