Touch Pro: still not an iPhone, and no Xperia, either

by Guy J Kewney | posted on 10 October 2008

The Touch Pro may not be as nice as the Sony Ericsson Xperia, or even as easy to use as the iPhone; but does it solve the sluggishness of the original HTC Touch Diamond? Benny Har-Even says yes.

NewsWireless has yet to get hands-on insight of this phone, which is irritating, because we think it gives the best idea, so far, of what an iPhone would be like with a slide-out keyboard (answer: a lot thicker, but not unusably so).

Har-Even's review is in video form so a quick summary: it's much more responsive than the Diamond, but he would love to have an actual "camera button" to take 3.2 megapixel photos, and while he likes the new miniSD slot, he would like the thing even more if he didn't have to keep reminding himself that  it is a Windows Mobile device.

Yes, he still has to take out the stylus for some functions, touch-flo or not.
