Wireless Connectivity at Wicon World: two weeks to go for this London conf

by Staff Writer | posted on 10 May 2005

There aren't many conferences or exhibitions which cover quite the range of wireless that you'll find at Wicon World - running 24-25 May at London's Excel centre. OK, Interop, perhaps; not many others.

This show "brings together leaders from the Bluetooth SIG, UWB Forum, WiFi Alliance, WiMax Forum, WiMedia Alliance and ZigBee Alliance to discuss the collaboration of wireless technologies," says the blurb, "as well as giving a comparison of the applications they enable."

Keynotes from Mike Foley of Bluetooth SIG,

What else is happening at the show?

High Level Wireless Connectivity World Conference
Mobile Enterprise Strategies Conference chaired by O2's Mike Short in his role as chairman of the Mobile Data association
Bluetooth - Technology & Applications  Training Course
WLAN Security Training Course
2 half day WiMAX Training Courses

The organisers say: "Wireless Connectivity (WiCon) World is the premier event for mobile solutions and addresses the huge potential of wireless networking applications from leading technologies such as WiFi, UWB, ZigBee, Bluetooth, NFC, DECT and WiMax."

Yes, we even have the ZigBee people. Here's the registration link; the exposition is free
