IBM - at last! - prepares to join the Tablet club - just in time to give it to the Chinese

There's no guarantee, is there, that what IBM shows to the approval people at the FCC is something IBM will definitely launch: but they have shown a Tablet ThinkPad to the FCC, under the X41 brand.
The story appeared courtesy jkOnTheRun who found this FCC document. It clearly shows that this will be a convertible tablet notebook; that means, it opens up like an ordinary ThinkPad, but the screen has a central hinge which swivels.
Fold the screen back, and it's a slate style Tablet.
And from the antennae details, it seems to be WiFi at 802.11a and 11b/g and probably, Bluetooth as well.
