Asterisk convention in Madrid, Astricon - June 15-17

With the appearance of a cheap, reliable phone exchange as part of every LocustWorld wireless mesh, VoIP is moving into mobile fast. We all know about Skype, but Asterisk is a standards-based rival which is expanding through open source.
The second Asterisk conference is now in Europe, and will be held in Madrid's Hotel Auditorium from June 15-17.
The conference keynote will be given by the guy who invented Asterisk: Mark Spencer, of Digium. Subjects to be covered in other sessions include:
The Astricon Conference conference "is dedicated to all things Asterisk," say the organisers. The event, composed of tutorials, a trade show, a user conference, and a developer summit, "promises to be an exciting and rewarding event for the Asterisk community."
It does encourage you to "Register today" - but the conference site was still pretty sketchy at press time, and you should probably mail the organisers at info@astricon.net for details.
For beginners, there's a choice of "boot camp" training, in tutorial sessions around the world.
