Spectrum Management Strategies, London Kensington Hilton March 2-3

by Staff Writer | posted on 22 February 2005

This is the second annual Spectrum Policy Conference, and it comes at a good time, with the world's spectrum management starting to face up to the impossibility of using traditional regulatory structures in the future.

"After 100 years of highly-managed spectrum management, regulators around the world are beginning to change radically the way in which radio spectrum is made available to the mobile industry," was the comment by Visiongain, show organisers.

"What will be the impact of the new spectrum management strategies being discussed by the industry's most innovative regulators? What are the opportunities and threats from operators' perspectives? What combination of objectives can be realistically be met by the industry, and what objectives will be sacrificed?"

Here's the organiser's list of the benefits of attending:

  • Understand the regulatory objectives in new spectrum policy developments
  • Discover the opportunities opened by spectrum liberalisation
  • Learn how to maximise your use of spectrum to save costs and improve your services
  • Debate how to manage the co-existence of licensed and licence-exempt spectrum
