Tomato ketchup joins the "in gadget" list. It's red, alreddy...

In the absence of real news (it's the weekend, duh) we hax will concoct any old rubbish. Top of the rubbish for the weekend is Pocket Lint's discovery that "red is the new white" - with a review of the top ten red gadgets.

Sniffer

The  list includes one notebook PC (the Acer Ferrari) four MP3 players, four cameras (one a video-cam, the Sanyo Xacti) - and that makes nine. What's the tenth?

Yes, the headline was real. It wasn't a joke. The tenth product is Heinz.

"Red is the colour of tomatoes, so who better to round-off our top 10 than the big red daddy of them all. Heinz has recently redeveloped its ketchup bottle and adopted a shower gel nozzle. The upside-down bottle design ensures that your ketchup is always ready when you are, and the stay-clean cap with control valve. The result: is a bottle that doesn’t leak and doesn’t get gunked up. Marvellous."

It even gives a price - £1.65 - and the story links to the  Heinz web site. Honk if you're the new black... neophiliacs of the world, unite!

Your Sniffer thinks that spending that sort of dosh is simply an attempt to appear neo-riche, and went for the (red) CnMemory USB stick with added battery for under £40.00. No ketchup here!
