Gossip: wireless works in DTI HQ

The Hunky Mouse was sitting in the back of the DTI conference today, again, unknown to The Boss in the front row. Your Sniffer is, therefore, able to expose the antisocial behaviour of this journalist/Editor.

In a security-obsessed building, there is no wireless LAN. Officials earnestly requested delegates to the http://www.newswireless.net/index.cfm/article/1997 CBN/ABC conference to switch off cellphones during the conference.

Blatantly ignoring this advice, The Boss parked himself in the front row of the conference hall, pulled up a section of carpet, and plugged into the DTI mains power. Then, plugging in a 3G data card from Vodafone, he proceeded to log onto the Net, and post a story.

Alas! - his evil behaviour profited nothing. When he tried to log onto NewsWireless, he was arrested by a stern vigilante: Vodafone itself. It offers a "content screening" service. Quite understandably, this guardian of morals took one look at NewsWireless, and blocked access...

But at least the Voda 3g data works...
