Zero Config, Zero Info, get lost ...
by Guy Kewney | posted on 10 September 2004
Having installed some new WiFi wireless cards, I found that Microsoft Windows XP had lost its ability to manage wireless.
|
"Windows cannot configure this wireless connection," it said. Duh ... that's why I asked for help! "If you want Windows to configure this wireless connection," it continued, "start the Wireless Zero Configuration (WZC) service."
How?
"For information about starting the WZC service, see Article 871122 in the Microsoft Knowledge Base."
And where is that?
" ... on the Microsoft.com web site."
And how do I get to that, without a working wireless connection? Hello? Hello?
