Share the iPod, AND the iPhone, says Santok

Sharing an MP3 player is old hat. You put one plug in your ear, and one in her ear (or his, if you prefer) but what you don't get is stereo. So you buy a "splitter" - and yes, you both have stereo but - bang! - you lose your microphone. That's a bit of a problem if your MP3 player is a phone (for example a Walkman or iPhone.

For the first time now, you can fix that; get a splitter, but one which has a microphone. And you only have one product to choose from: the STK iPhone personal hands-free (PHF) and Splitter.

At least, that's what Santok tells us. "This new personal handsfree kit and splitter from Santok cleverly lets users share their music without having to miss calls," they told NewsWireless. "Currently, this product is unique and there is nothing else on the market that offers this function."

Most traditional Y-splitters only function with headphones, observes Santok, "but this one includes a microphone too, enabling users to make and take calls from their iPhone whilst another set of headphones is plugged in." And presumably, other phones with a standard audio jack...
