Wireless mental implants: how to have them removed?

by Guy J Kewney | posted on 19 November 2007

A Newswireless reader needs surgery. The need (he says) is urgent, but not something he wants to publicise; so he's told NewsWireless about it, in the hope we can find someone prepared to remove his implants.

He writes: "I have implants in my ear canals which allowed me to be in constant contact with my team when I was overseas with a security team."

This in itself is news to our technical staff, but apparently his technology went beyond a simple "on-board Bluetooth" type transceiver. He explains: "I could receive mental images as well as intructions."

The device, he writes, "interfaces with my brain with electo magnetic signals."

Here's his plea, and if anybody can help, please use the "contact" button on our home page to get in touch: "I wish to remove it but I don't want to attract attention to myself because device is not common. How do I go about it?"

Nobody at NewsWireless has the slightest idea what this might be, or how to find a helpful surgeon; but if you think you can help, we'll forward your email to our cyborg reader.

Understandably, there will be those who see this as an opportunity to cast humorous aspersions on our reader's sanity or grasp of reality. Don't waste your time sending such comments, as (however sincerely meant) they won't be forwarded. And no; his name is not Kevin Warwick [picture above, left].
