3GSM: "You keep using that word..."

"By the way..." - it's a useful phrase. They keep using those words. It does not mean what some Spanish people seem to think it means. For example, it doesn't mean "All the stuff we just told you is actually a secret."

So to the senior manager of a Very Large Iberian mobile telco who kindly gave me half an hour of his time this morning, explaining the amazing things he's doing in device management, "Thanks."

And for finishing the interview by saying; "By the way..." and then going on to say that I couldn't use it without letting him see the copy and approve it: "Forget it, kid..."
