Were you thinking of heading off to Olympia exhibition centre this morning, in London, for a conference and exhibition about the IP Multimedia Subsystem (IMS) as espoused by mobile operators who wish to move to the Internet Protocol? Think again!

The show at Olympia is co-located with the Online Information show, which gives a clue, perhaps. This IMS is not Intelligent Manufacturing Systems, either. Nor yet is it the Institute of Mathematical Statistics. You will search in vain for off-road parts and accessories, as purveyed by IMS Products. Inventory Management System? Ion Mobility Spectroscopy? Information Management System?

All wrong. It's the Information Management Solutions show.

Perhaps I won't go, after all.
