These aren't the updates you're looking for, no FireFox to see here, move along...

Being easily excited, I got excited about the new version of Mozilla Firefox. A riposte, perhaps, after the release of the main rival, Internet Explorer 7.0 said some. Nonsense, said others; FireFox is a much more modern browser than IE, and this is a leapfrog... so I thought I'd update.

There are dozens of good reasons to update. The one I like most is the "restore" feature. You know, like when Microsoft decides to restart your PC during the night because you weren't there to shout: "No, no! Don't reboot!" when it finished the update. The new FireFox is proof against that! - it reloads all the windows and tabs that it had open before.

Update, then. Firefox has a splended way to automate that. You pull down the menu - "help" and pick "check for updates." [see pic above left

"There are no available updates" it said, solemnly.

If you do want to know what the new 2.0 version offers, there's the release notes. If you do want the new version, go to the download page. Until, that is, Mozilla discovers that the new version isn't yet published on the auto-upload list...
