Phonified Announces Partnership With SavaJe Technologies

Bay Area Mobile Innovator Joins Forces With Global Open Java-Based Mobile Operating Platform Developer

BERKELEY, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Phonified (www.phonified.com), a developer of wireless data applications, today announced a partnership with SavaJe Technologies (www.savaje.com), developers of a global Java™ technology-based mobile operating platform. Under the agreement, Phonified has joined the SavaJe Mobile Java Experience Partner Program and will release its flagship Mail[E] client for the SavaJe Mobile Platform™. The companies are also focusing on cooperative global sales and marketing programs for Mail[E] and other Phonified applications to handset manufacturers and mobile operators.

The SavaJe Mobile Platform™ radically simplifies and accelerates the development of highly customizable, richly branded and secure user interfaces across mobile feature phone handsets. Mail[E] allows individuals to access their corporate email from their cell phones, and is targeted at on-the-go professionals who want to read and respond to their email while on the road. For the carrier, Mail[E] provides a compelling reason for subscribers to sign up for a data plan. Mail[E] can be offered to those users not currently served by the carrier's enterprise solutions, such as employees of small and medium businesses that have not made the commitment to deploy a push-based mobile email solution. Mail[E] is a low-cost application with no recurring subscription fees, so carriers can capture new data users without also incurring long-term revenue sharing with an email service provider.
