She's called IRMA - Irma Bluetooth. She costs £299.00 and she's a little box which you plug into a video projector, and drive from your Windows PDA or smartphone - and she does PowerPoint without needing a personal computer.
The inventor is Infrablue - a specialist provider of handheld presentation solutions which is based in London. "IRMA Bluetooth combines compression software and a 110-gramme pocket-sized Bluetooth communications device," said the company in today's news release.
"The user converts and compresses their chosen PowerPoint documents using the software from their laptop or PC and then transfers them to the handheld device," said Mitchell Johnson, Infrablue managing director. "The handheld then sends the presentation slides direct to the projector using the IRMA device, which is connected directly to the chosen projector by a standard VGA cable connection – no laptop is needed."
The package works on most Windows mobile devices - Infrablue listing the latest iMate, HP, Qtek, and 02 branded units.
