Jodie Kidd, a mobile phone, and topless alcohol

We have to thank Ian White for drawing our attention to Jodie Kidd's new "Teslar" watch  which (the supermodel says) will protect her from "electromagnetic pollution."

According to the watch's maker, Philip Stein, the Teslar was invented in 1986. "Teslar technology was designed to emit a unique 7 to 9 Hz Alpha wave signal that interacts with an strengthens your body's own electro magnetic energy field," it says. Ho, yuss.

This signal is "similar to the Earth's natural 7.8 Hz signal and the alpha wave signals emitted by the brain when you are calm, meditating or doing yoga..." it enthuses.

And it "helps reinforce your energy field against the possible negative effects of external low-energy electromagnetic fields," it concludes.

Jodie Kidd is, of course, a Celeb. Her concern (says White in the latest Mobile News) is that she fears her mobile phone is damaging her IQ. Strangely, White seems to think she's too late, which must be unkind.

But unless the photo in Befuddle is faked, Jodie is right to be concerned about her IQ. So it's possible that the story is incorrect, because we notice that White refers to Kidd as "top totty."

According to other evidence, "top" is nearly right... and something like "less than top" would be closer. And White is right to mock her for her willingness to accept a fee to publicise Vodafone (she was at the 3GLive! launch) and then spend £3,000 odd on a watch "powered by snake-oil" as Wired once remarked.
