Link: want to run Linux on your mobile device? Laptop? Palmtop? Phone?

People with older PCs are finding that Windows 95 isn't being supported. Also, there are fewer and fewer updates for software, and drivers for new devices aren't available. You can't upgrade to Windows 2000 cos the machine's too small. Tried Linux?
The effort of installing Linux on an old machine is fraught with opportunities for frustration! What you need, is someone who has done it before - not in general, but on your specific PC or whatever. And yes: we've found the place to go.
The link is to Linux on Laptops which does what it says on the tin. It has directories for each make of notebook, and under those, different models, with helpful hints.
For example, suppose you have an old IBM ThinkPad 390, and you've got the Debian release of Linux - in French!
Or suppose you have a Clevo 2200C and your friends all recommend SuSE7.1?
And of course, if you have just struggled through the torment of installing Linux, and finally have it working, you can submit your own experience for the guidance of others.
And it even covers a lot of palmtops. But, alas! - no phones, yet. Unless you want to tell us how?
