Microsoft support for wireless; useful links
by Guy Kewney | posted on 17 March 2002
Microsoft now offers considerable support for wireless networking, with the bulk of its support to be found under www.microsoft.com/wifi - which takes you through to the following links:
Although this link is marked as "Windows 2000" it includes information about XP.
Some of the articles are in themselves just links to useful IEEE resources or to WECA - but there are unique resources here for Windows engineers.
For example, the issues of setting up enterprise LANs and RADIUS servers are discussed in this article.
Driver developers are catered for here with several white papers some relating to .Net strategies.
Others are rather out of date overviews like the XP documentation link which must have been left there from before XP was actually launched. The site cries out for a really good overview of how .Net and wireless/mobile networking will come together.
