A triumph for T-Mobile? Oh yes!

You might have thought that being condemned for "immoral" conduct by a Judge, losing the lawsuit, and getting the bill for all legal costs was a bit of a blot on the copy-book. Sniffer has discovered something: that's not the way they see it at T-Mobile..!

The lawsuit was pretty disastrous from where most of us were standing. But packets have been intercepted suggesting that internally, the German HQ has persuaded T-Mobile staff that it was a "win."

According to Sunday Times business commentator Rupert Steiner, who writes the "Prufrock" column, "something got lost in the translation back at headquarters in Bonn."

Steiner picked up an email, intended for T-Mobile staff, from the Board. It apparently says: "How does our 'win' impact us?"

Apparently, there were two lawsuits. The one that condemned T-Mobile for immoral conduct wasn't the important one. No, the one that really counts, is the other case, which was concerned with "What is a Virgin customer?" which, says the email, T-Mobile won and Virgin lost.

A Virgin customer, despite what you might imagine, is not one who hasn't yet been shafted by T-Mobile ... we'll wait for T-Mobile to reveal exactly what is it, shall we?
