TeleAdapt hasn't exactly gone wireless for the World Cup, but it has launched a mobile computing connection kit specifically designed for football fans, journalists, and officials travelling to Korea and Japan for the 2002 Football World Cup.

And in order to provide some sort of wireless solution to end users TeleAdapt have also teamed up with global corporate rental solutions company Hirefone to bring users a complete mobile phone solution. "As Japan and Korea use a different mobile phone networks to Europe, renting a mobile phone is a cost effective and flexible solution for people travelling to the World Cup for a few days or weeks." As well as containing all the connectors and adaptors needed to re-charge and get online in both Korea and Japan, the kit also includes a World Cup connectivity guide that contains connectivity information for the local areas.
