Smart cards- the French have the big show, including wireless stuff
by Guy Kewney | posted on 04 October 2002
Mobile "telephony" - which includes all sorts of things that wouldn't have been counted a year ago - is looking more and more likely to use SmartCard technology; and mobile is a major theme of Cartes 2002 in Paris, November 5,6, and 7.
The show has already attracted more mobile IT suppliers than last year, and this year's exhibition and conf will have both network operators and equipment makers demonstrating equipment using smart-card technology. Full details on the Web site; apparently there are 370 exhibitors already.
If you or your company is planning to be there, now is the time to contact NewsWireless Net here with details of what you'll be showing.
