The phone, the Olympia Wireless Conference phone lets you have group of people in the same room all talk to a remote location over the same speakerphone. The difference is, you don't have to plug the thing into a phone socket in the conference room. Indeed, you don't even have to be in the office.
The device, according to Wave Industries, has a range of 150 feet from a base station, presumably in the traditional "clear air" that you always get in offices in America, rather than the typical European work place. And, they say, it has clever noise cancelling circuitry, so you can use it in a factory, thus justifying its rather exciting $800 price tag.
