Welcom to Computex? You're welcome to it too!

A major PR coup for Shuttle, by the way. All their products are on show to every member of the media. In the press room, all the time. With the Shuttle logo on. It's just a bit of a pity ...

<1/> Prestige: a smart row of Shuttles

Our first picture shows just how smart the new Shuttle box looks, and how heavily sponsored, too. It has enthusiastic welcome messages from Intel and Microsoft. And (of course) the Shuttle logo.

But as the second (detail) picture shows, it would possibly have been a good idea to hire an English speaker to proof-read the front of the cases.

Just in case you missed it too, the case has "Welcom to Computex 2004" printed in bold letters on the prominent fronts of all 34 machines ...

In this land of loss of face, someone has got to be easily recognisable. It'll be whoever you meet who has two backs to his head. And a Shuttle badge, of course.

The good news, was that the new Xpc super-fast Pentium 4 Shuttle did make headlines. It's a monster in power terms, but house-trained, being incredibly quiet for a five-fan beast capable of shifting the heat from a 350W power source. But somehow, I suspect that this won't console the marketing department.
