California comes to London ... with Juha Christensen of Macromedia. Arnie? Who he?

Juha Christensen's name is one to conjure with in the mobile data world: he was head-hunted away from Symbian to set up Microsoft's smartphone operation. And now, as "president, mobile devices" at Macromedia, he'll be visiting London next month as one of the presenters of CAL-IT, a technology exhibition.

Of course, the organisers think the main draw will be some guy who is Governor of California. Pah, what do they know?

Venue is the London Metropole Hilton, one of far too many Hiltons in London. This one is at Edgeware Road, near Paddington, but not the actual Paddington Hilton, which is just down the road. Check the venue before travelling: these Hiltons don't speak to each other, and if you arrive at the wrong one, you will be greeted with a shrug of the shoulders and "It's not here, that's all I know" by the staff.

Christensen's presentation is the keynote on the second day.

Of course, the whole point of the thrash is to attract business to California which is, as you know, nearly bankrupt.
