Laptop kills car driver in crash
by Guy J Kewney | posted on 17 April 2009
A car driver died in a crash, in Surrey (Canada). Not much of a story for mobile technology users? Well, apparently, what killed her was not the impact with the truck she hit; it was her flying laptop PC inside her car.
The report says:
Storey was on her way out of town for work at the time of the accident and usually kept her laptop in a backpack in the backseat, according to her brother Michael Pratt.
"What we believe happened [was] that she was struck in the back of her head and neck with this laptop computer,"
said police.
