by Guy J Kewney | posted on 23 March 2009
There are only a few days left to apply for the Innovate!Europe competition to be named Europe’s top startup and win a free 90-day stay at Guidewire Group’s business accelerator in the heart of Silicon Valley.
Guidewire's Mike Sigal is in charge of the pre-award seminars around Europe starting this month; they're complimentary (he writes):
The application deadline is March 25th, and entrepreneurs in the IT, Internet and mobile sectors that are ready to take their companies to the next level and expand globally are encouraged to visit http://www.innovate-events.com for details on how to participate.
If you or someone you know is interested in this opportunity, the first step is to apply to attend one of Innovate!Europe’s complimentary Going Global workshops taking place on the following dates:
• 30 MARCH – Bern, Switzerland
• 1 APRIL – Tel Aviv, Israel
• 3 APRIL – Berlin, Germany
• 6 APRIL – Paris, France
• 8 APRIL – London, UK
Application and attendance at the Going Global workshops are free, and each workshop will be followed by a networking meet-up for entrepreneurs, journalists and local investors.
As a member of the Innovate!Europe group, you are invited to participate in the meet-ups as well. To get more info and RSVP, please check out their online calendar at http://www.innovate-events.com/calendar/ or the events in their Facebook group.
If you want to enter the competition but you are not based near one of the workshop locations, you can contact Sigal directly at innovate@guidewiregroup.com to request a phone interview.
The most promising participants from the Going Global workshops will be invited to participate in Innovate!Europe’s Master Class, May 4- 6, 2009 in Zaragoza, Spain. Graduates of the Master Class will then have an opportunity to put their knowledge to use as participants in an invite-only Trade Mission that will visit Silicon Valley the week of June 8th.
