Dr Johnson, crack, and a grumpy priate

Sending messages: The start of the day is always taxing for news reporters. Vodafone and Hutchison to join up? Wow. Amdocs to launch new software for mobile? Coo. And... what's this about Dr Johnson's Ho?

The news that the UK Government has decided to "send a message" to young and vulnerable teens that crack cocaine and heroin are no more dangerous than Ecstasy, is hardly "news" and definitely not surprising.

And the Grumpy Pirate used to be the "Drunken Sailor" - traditional sea shanty: "The government-funded charity Bookstart, which promotes reading for children around the country, has changed the lyrics to remove any reference to alcohol" - courtesy another attempt to "send the right message."

So who is Dr Johnson's Ho? For the full story, go to Multimap. "Do a little jig and make him smile," eh? Well, and who is Zippy? Eh?
