"End-to-End" Hardware and Software Solution from Continuous Computing and TelcoBridges Enables Telecommunications Service Provider to Accelerate Introduction of New Product

SAN DIEGO - October 23, 2007 - Continuous Computing®, global provider of integrated systems and services that enable telecom equipment manufacturers to rapidly deploy Next Generation Networks (NGN), today announced that Vertex Telecom, a leading facilities-based Transpacific telecom services provider, has selected an integrated bundle of Continuous Computing hardware, along with telecom blades from TelcoBridges, as part of a system upgrade to fulfill its multiple platform integration needs. The combination of Continuous Computing's Flex21(tm) CompactPCI platform and SS7 blades from TelcoBridges, an innovative provider of high-density telecom blades supporting Voice over IP (VoIP) and time division multiplexing (TDM) media and signaling to system integrators and original equipment manufacturers (OEMs), has enabled Vertex Telecom to achieve its aggressive time-to-market requirements for new product introductions.

By utilising TelcoBridges' TB640 System-Blade, which runs Continuous Computing's Distributed Fault-Tolerant / High Availability (DFT/HA) Trillium® software, in conjunction with Continuous Computing Flex21 systems, Vertex Telecom was able to introduce its products and services to the market more rapidly than it would have otherwise. Vertex Telecom provides pre-paid calling card and post-paid long distance telephone services, integrated data products, and MPLS IP-based virtual private network solutions to the fast-growing Asian American community and enterprise markets. The specific Trillium software stacks that Continuous Computing provided to the Vertex companies include Trillium SIP and Trilium SS7 ISUP.

"Continuous Computing is an ideal partner for us," said Gaetan Campeau, President, Founder, and Executive Vice-President of Sales of TelcoBridges. "The Trillium software and Flex21 systems, coupled with our own telecom blades controlled by Goldway Communication Ltd.'s ExpresSCE+ service creation and service delivery software platform, provided the building blocks enabling Vertex to create their solution. The combined benefits of this offering is available to other customers seeking a flexible, sophisticated DFT/HA architecture coupled with field-proven high-performance hardware and software."

The Vertex Telecom companies purchased two Continuous Computing Flex21 systems, currently deployed and carrying voice traffic over 48 DS3 links, and have purchased an additional 48 DS3 system in order to add capacity to their network. Flex21 delivers up to 90 watts of non-shared power per slot and supports the current generation of CompactPCI and PICMG 2.16 blades while opening the door to high-performance blade designs previously unachievable in CompactPCI.

"The Continuous Computing Trillium software stacks and Flex21 CompactPCI platform, in tandem with TelcoBridges SS7 blades, enabled us to introduce our pre-paid services to market more quickly than anticipated," said Jim Chiu, President of Vertex Telecom. "Further, because of our partnership with Continuous Computing and TelcoBridges, we were able to bring to market a more diverse suite of pre-paid communications services, including toll-free long distance, VoIP, and unified messaging, all with global Internet-based account management."

"TelcoBridges enables solutions providers and OEMs to be successful through the company's range of dependable telecom products," said Mike Dagenais, Chief Executive Officer of Continuous Computing. "Through our partnership, system integrators worldwide can create cutting-edge systems and solutions such as those created by Vertex Telecom."
