At last: something definite about the iPhone today!

Everybody seems to have a rumour about today's 3G iPhone announcement: but the Download Squad has Facts!

Today's report is simple, unambiguous, and authoritative and actually, might be of real interest to owners of iPhones and iPod Touch devices: there's going to be a Slingbox for the platform.

"Want to watch live TV on your iPhone? Pretty soon you may be able to... assuming you've got a Slingbox set up at home. While Sling Media has been releasing client software for Windows, Mac, and a variety of cellphones for years that lets you stream live or recorded TV over the internet, there's been no iPhone version so far..."goes the report by Brad Linder.

Apparently, it's "proof of concept" only, and you can't buy it. The good news: you don't have to go to the world wide developer conf to see it: "Sling Media product manager Vicky Shum will be hanging out at the Starbucks at 120 4th Street from 10am to 4pm today."
