Jeremy Piven, Carmen Electra, and Many More Sidekick Fans Turned Out for the First-Look at the Highly Anticipated T-Mobile Sidekick LX

HOLLYWOOD, Calif., Oct. 17 /PRNewswire/ -- Last night, T-Mobile USA, Inc. brought celebrities and Los Angeles tastemakers together to unveil and celebrate the latest edition of the iconic T-Mobile(R) Sidekick(R) family of devices -- the new T-Mobile Sidekick LX(TM).

At the exclusive, invitation-only launch event, held at the historical Griffith Park in Los Feliz, celebrities such as Shia LaBeouf, Justin Chambers and Carmen Electra dropped in to check out the newest look and design of their favorite handheld communications device and take pleasure in the company of their inner social circle at Hollywood's hottest bash.

The sophisticated Sidekick LX launch event brought to life the ultimate hipster dwelling, transforming The Clubhouse at the Wilson and Harding Golf Course at Griffith Park into an upscale manor complete with mod art displays to admire, plush furniture to sink back into over cocktails with friends, ornate Persian rugs and vintage light fixtures and chandeliers to enhance the mood.

At the event, guests were treated to an on-site Farmer's Market with fresh fruits, vegetables and other healthy treats, as well as a neo dive pub and microbrew where celebrities such as Nick Cannon and JC Chasez stopped by to try one of the fine import and classic beer selections on tap.

At the fragrance counter, Kim Kardashian was spotted blending her own customized perfume scent while Rumer Willis hit up the hipster hardware store to try on the various collections of fedoras, sunglasses and wig styles to accent their trendsetting look for the evening. Travis Barker and Shanna Moakler posed for photos to capture the fun and excitement of the party as guests sat for charcoal drawings from the on-site sketch artists.

The star-studded scene was highlighted with a special live musical performance by Grammy®-nominated, multi-platinum artist Kanye West, who delivered hits from his new album to a crowd of excited fans and Hollywood A-listers such as Laura Prepon, Minka Kelly, and Wilmer Valderrama.

The mini-concert was followed with music by DJ AM and DJ Steve Aoki spinning at the turntables and keeping partygoers, such as Frankie Muniz and Jack Osbourne, busy on the dance floor all night long.

With so many different activities to indulge in, party-goers spent all night enjoying Hollywood's hottest and hippest event, celebrating the luxury of the new Sidekick LX.

"T-Mobile's customers will be inspired by the LX's gorgeous screen, slimmed-down design and enhanced messaging features, making it the most desirable and highly anticipated device of the season," said Jeff Hopper, Vice President of Marketing, T-Mobile USA, Inc. "Debuting the Sidekick LX and celebrating its launch in Hollywood is a natural fit given the Sidekick's roots in entertainment, music and pop."

The new Sidekick LX is the latest generation of the iconic device, boasting a thinner, smoother profile, a larger high definition LCD swivel screen, new color options of midnight blue or espresso brown, and integrated features including a custom-designed MySpace(R) Mobile application available for download. The Sidekick LX is available starting today for existing T-Mobile customers, and widely available on October 24th at T-Mobile locations and online at http://www.t-mobile.com
