The idea of Wiilding a light sabre seized the imaginations of Force-worshippers some time ago, and you can already generate the well-known sound effects of a Jedi duel by waving the weapon around.
But Adam Riley last week picked up on the official claim by Lucas that something was close: "There’ll be some stuff out this Fall - it’s going to be a lot of fun," he quoted Ward, asking: "But could he merely be talking about Lego Star Wars: The Complete Saga, which will indeed include motion controls, or is Wii set to get something a little more exclusive?"
One suggestion which comes to mind would be a special-purpose add-on for the Wii wand to give the appearance of a genuine Star Wars sabre.
It's not the first time the idea has been mooted: a year ago, T3 (the gadget web site) predicted a release, based on hints from Lucasville.
