iPhone scores massive own-goal: and rival Zune headsets have a new market
by Guy J Kewney | posted on 30 June 2007
It seems that if you have an iPhone, then nearly every headset in the world is incompatible with it. With the exception, ironically, of the headset for Microsoft's rival music player, the Zune.
There are more headsets at Engadget HQ than most: "We've tested a few models already," reports Conrad Quilty-Harper.
He continues: "You can see the current list - but maybe you can help us out and let us know which models work / don't work in the comments."
And yes, if you have to press down on the jack to get both channels to play sound, that counts as not working. "You'll need to buy a $10 headphone adapter if you want most third party headphones to function correctly," they said.
