Reports of death exaggerated. But not by much...

Mark Twain was obviously inclined to think that "reports of my death have been exaggerated" was witty. It depends how nearly dead you are, I suppose; but now that I've got over that cold virus, I am happy to rejoin the world in good chear, and share his wit. In short, I'm back.
Normally, the work of keeping the site going is left in the hands of The Staff in these emergencies. The Staff were all away at the time. I hope, as a result, that you all shrugged, and took the enforced NewsWireless break as a sort of holiday.
