"I am one of those that spends $1000 a year on Bluetooth headsets " - Argard M10 reviewed

by Guy J Kewney | posted on 17 February 2007

The Argard M10 is a tiny Bluetooth headset, and it's been reviewed by PocketNow. Here's a sample from a pretty exhaustive test:

"The ear mounting system on the M10 is just a rubber ear plug. There's no loop or spring to hold it in place, which means it actually has to go into your ear canal. This will block out all external sound which will make it easier to hear your callers, but impossible to hear anything else out of that ear."

Tester Adam Z Lein continues: "Also, you have to make sure you have a tight fit because a strong wind can easily loosen the headset and let it fall out. Also notice that the volume buttons are practically sitting next to the pinea which makes them a bit difficult to access sometimes."

It's a full, long test, including a comparison shot showing the Argard device next to two other Bluetooth devices [above, left] and pretty much a full spec. And yet, perhaps the most remarkable thing about the test was the way it came to the attention of NewsWireless. Who could possibly claim to spend a thousand dollars a year on Bluetooth headsets?

Answer: Chris Leckness, the maniac who runs MobilitySite
