3GSM: Ikivo to launch "on device portal" and devtools for rich media

Developer services supplier, Ikivo, is expected to be launching, together with Vodafone Germany, a new product called an "on-device portal" in Barcelona.

The company has just made three announcements which will attract mobile TV developers:

a new product family, ‘Ikivo Enrich’, comprising ‘Enrich Clients’ and ‘Enrich Tools’; "this product suite supports the end-to-end development of advanced rich media services such as Interactive Mobile TV, on-device portals, mobile advertising and music services."

the availability of the Ikivo Rich Media Client. "It is an advanced mobile device client which provides all the necessary features for the rapid development and deployment of rich and compelling mobile media services."

The Ikivo Integrated Development Environment (IDE) which "is a powerful environment for the development of scripted mobile applications" based on Eclipse and SVG Tiny. It provides a complete environment for developing, debugging and testing ECMAScript with SVG Tiny content. "With more than 150 million Ikivo powered devices in the market, the Ikivo Enrich Product Family builds on Ikivo’s mobile heritage and continues its dominance in the mobile rich media market," said the announcement this week.
