LONDON, UK - (September 26, 2006) - SkyPilot Networks, the leading provider of carrier class mesh networks, today announced the launch of a new distributor network in Europe to help drive its sales and profile in the expanding wireless mesh broadband network market.

The initiative, called The AirPower Channel Partner Programme, is designed to build a strong channel through key distributors that cover key markets in EMEA. The three distributors that SkyPilot has appointed are UK-headquartered ACAL Networks (www.acal-networks.co.uk) that covers the UK, Western Europe, Middle East and African markets, Sistelec Telecomunicaciones (www.sistelec.es) that covers southern Europe, and Winncom Technologies (www.winncom.com) that covers the Eastern European market. All three companies were selected by SkyPilot because of their expertise in wireless infrastructure technology and their ability to market and support its products.

Through the AirPower Programme, SkyPilot aims to increase its ability to reach new customers and grow its value-added reseller (VAR) relationships in Europe, the Middle East and Africa. The programme will provide its channel partners with access to the products, training, support and resources essential to deliver wireless mesh broadband network solutions to their customers.

Speaking about its appointment as one of SkyPilot’s new EMEA distributors, Paul Reeve, Director of ACAL Networks, said: "We are extremely pleased to have been selected as a key distribution partner for SkyPilot products in EMEA. SkyPilot’s unique wireless mesh networking technology empowers our channel partners to offer their customers highly resilient, intelligent and faster broadband wireless networking solutions. Being recognised as SkyPilot’s channel partner further strengthens our position as one of EMEA’s premier specialist distributors for wireless networking products."

Valentin Murillo, Director General of Sistelec Telecomunicaciones, said: “With over 25 years of experience as a leading, value-added wireless distributor in Southern Europe, it is critical that we select the best technologies to meet the demands of our integrators. After careful evaluation based on market requirements and system testing, we believe the combination of SkyPilot’s intelligent antenna array and multi-radio platform, is the leading technology solution for providing city-wide WiFi municipal networks and last-mile voice and data services."

Frederick Harris, Director of Channels at SkyPilot, said: "This announcement plays an integral role in our go-to-market strategy of increasing market coverage through top wireless value-added distributors and system integrators. The AirPower Channel Partner Programme is a global initiative from SkyPilot and we are delighted that we now have our EMEA distributor network in place and look forward to working with our European channel and to build our market presence."

AirPower Programme

The AirPower Programme offers VARs and integrators the most complete and scalable mesh solution for their customers' broadband infrastructures. As part of the programme, partners are given the enhanced education and tools they need to sell and support these products. The AirPower Programme is designed to allow SkyPilot channel partners to take advantage of the explosive growth being fuelled by service providers and municipalities. These organisations are seeking to build out multi-use networks in order to provide ubiquitous Wi-Fi and broadband access for economic development, public safety and improved government services. With a strong training program, technical support and sales relationships, we intend to make our partners successful.

AirPower Partner Programme participants receive product discounts, qualified leads, priority technical support, and access to sales and marketing resources through the AirPower Partner Portal, SkyPilot’s secure partner extranet. Companies wishing to join the AirPower Partner Programme must have extensive experience engineering and deploying outdoor wireless networks and are required to complete SkyPilot technical training.
