US texting: a quick guide for adults who buy for kids
by Staff Writer | posted on 25 August 2006
What could be sillier than an adult writing an article about "which cellphone is best for texting?" for an adult audience... when after all, it's kids who know all about it? PC Mag has taken the brave step.
The logic is simple: if you get your kids a phone in the US, you won't have a clue what's good and what's gross, because you didn't grow up texting. So a guide for adults must be a great idea, in fact.
If only... the "roundup" is actually a very brief look at four phones: the Kyocera "Switchback" [illustrated above]; the SideKick 3; the LG VX9800 "The V"; and the Helio Hero
But the article is probably worth a quick nvestigation if you are new to SMS.
