iBAHN Enterprise Conference Solutions provide top class connectivity to entire show

4th July 2006 - iBAHN, the world's leading provider of secure, managed internet connectivity for business travellers and meeting planners, today announces that it will be the official provider of public wireless connectivity for the week-long Farnborough International Airshow 2006, which kicks off on 17th July.

iBAHN Enterprise Conference Solutions (ECS) has expertly organised the event's full wireless network, providing the Airshow with a complete programme of support, from pre-event planning and negotiations, to post-event data around network usage. iBAHN's experienced network specialists have successfully implemented their services, working with Farnborough International Ltd. to provide a solution that both delivers against user expectation and takes into account close proximity health and safety issues commonplace with both airports and aerospace technology.

iBAHN will provide the exhibitors and visitors to the Airshow with managed wireless broadband coverage across its entire site, including 5 huge exhibition halls and all the events hospitality chalets. The network will also allow users to benefit from WPA (Wi-Fi Protected Access), which provides users with the highest possible level of security.

Partnering with the world-class event is significant milestone for iBAHN ECS and its team, who have been in consultation with the organisers about their technical requirements. The last Farnborough International Airshow covered 155,000 square metres, accommodated 1,360 exhibitors from 32 countries and attracted nearly 250,000 visitors from around the world, and this year's event is expected to be an even bigger success.

Kevin Palmer, Head of iBAHN's ECS Europe, says: "By providing our own network for the Airshow, we will not only be able to continuously monitor all services and pro-actively resolve any issues, but we will also be flexible enough to make changes on the fly to accommodate last minute service requests. We will be connecting thousands of people
simultaneously across the site, and are delighted to have been chosen to provide the consultancy, support and technology for such a major show."

Amanda Stainer, Director of Exhibitions and Events, says "As the leading global aerospace event, we strive to demonstrate innovation across every area of the show, including the technology we use.  We are always looking for ways to improve the services on offer at the show and Wi-Fi has been a service that has been requested by exhibitors and visitors
alike."
