Nokia plans podcast creation software for Series 60 smartphone
by Staff Writer | posted on 19 June 2006
A "podcatcher" application has been launched for the Nokia N91 smartphone, with the ability to find, download and play podcasts - including vlogcasts (video-blogcasts) - on any Series 60 (3rd Edition) phone. In the future, the company has said, this application will also allow you to create your own podcast.
Podcasting "in the field" is something currently restricted to those persistent souls who can master MMS -multimedia messaging. Exactly when you'll be able to stare into the camera of your Nokia, and post a report direct to your Web site, isn't clear, but the download part is satisfactory.Full review, including screen shots, can be found at AllAboutSymbian
