Phone takes up reverse Polish notation in fit of pique: how to fix
by Guy J Kewney | posted on 15 May 2006
An attempt to find out what was going on in the UK. An ordinary Walkman 800i phone, and an ordinary browser. And next thing I know, the text engine is refusing to accept the word "THANKS!"
Fortunatley, a mega-value reader ("Cubass") responded in seconds: "Change the writing language back to English on your phone to reset the t9 dictionary," he advised.
Settings, language, text. My goodness! - every language on the phone is now the default language. All I had to do was un-check Polish, Dutch, French and Slovak...
"Yeah, well; the T9 on that phone gets borked every time I try to use the browser," he reported."
I wouldn't mind, but I couldnt't even get onto Orange World with the browser in the first place... Bloody Italian wireless carriers...
Can't spell THANKS - You can discuss this article on our discussion board.
