The Boss only discovered Technorati a couple of months back, and has been diligently making sure NewsWireless stories appear on its index ever since (see below). Simultaneously there has been a battle with Google, which refused to classify NewsWireless as a news site. Well, there's good news, and bad news...

The good news is that NewsWireless is officially "worth" $36K. The "officially" bit comes from Technorati, which recently infuriated James Enck by valuing his arch-rival blogger on the mobile phone business, Om Malik, at Gigacom, at $1.5m. Which is, almost certainly an underestimate - but Enck then discovered that his own blog was worth zero, zilch, nothing.

So you can imagine the scene as The Boss fed NewsWireless into the Technorati blog-rating machine. At first, cheerful giggles: it's worth real money. And then, the awful realisation: this, if publicly released, makes it an Official Blog. How can he hide this awful fact from Google, and get recognised as a proper grownup news site?
