Picsel enables PC Document Viewing on Hitachi's W32H Smart Phone

Glasgow UK, 27th September, 2005 - Picsel Technologies, Ltd., a provider of solutions that enable intuitive interaction with rich content on small screen devices, today announced that it has delivered its Picsel Document Viewer on Hitachi, Ltd.’s new smart phone. The Picsel Document Viewer will be incorporated into the W32H as the standard email attachment viewer called the "PC Document Viewer". Hitachi’s smart phone will allow subscribers to experience PC documents on their handsets, fulfilling mobile users’ increasing demand for advanced email capabilities on the move. The W32H is the second mobile device for au/KDDI featuring Picsel Document Viewer as “PC Document Viewer”, following the success of the W31CA from Casio Ltd.

Phones featuring Picsel Document Viewer set a new benchmark for browsing rich documents on the small screen. While delivering seamless support for Microsoft Office® (Word, Excel and Power Point), Adobe® PDF, HTML, and mHTML, Picsel Document Viewer’s super-fast Zoom/Scroll capability allows users to experience these PC documents as if they are on PCs.  Its super-fast performance and uniquely intuitive user interface provide users great experiences, which encourage them to download and interact with more content on smaller screens.
