The new XDA, which is really the old one - reviewed
by Guy Kewney | posted on 09 February 2005
Most of us who went to the O2 strategic briefing a week or so ago, were shown all their new hardware. Typical of Arne Hess of PPCW: he did a review of the XDA IIi there and then, complete with photos and hands-on.
The bad news is: it's apparently not based on the new "Magneto" version of Windows Mobile, which Microsoft will almost certainly announce next week.
The http://www.ppcw.net/?itemid=2137 full review, in considerable detail, confirmed, that the Xda IIi (also known as HTC Alpine):
includes an Intel Bulverde CPU, running 520 MHz
supports W-LAN
supports Bluetooth using the Widcomm Bluetooth stack, already introduced with the Xda IIs/III
includes a 1.3 Megapixel camera
will be released with Windows Mobile 2003 Second Edition for Pocket PC
Phone Edition containing AKU2 which supports Windows Media 10 Mobile
Check out the review even if it's a preview!
