Sneak preview of Jornada at Commonwealth Games
by Sniffer | posted on 25 July 2002
Neil Holloway, managing director of Microsoft, arrived in Manchester to launch his company's sponsorship of the games technology - and to offer a sneak preview of the second-ever Phone Edition Pocket PC - the Jornada 928
The Jornada 928 was officially launched this afternoon - but Holloway was able to show assembled hacks a working device in the morning. Sniffer, of course, was on hand to show Holloway our story, yesterday.

"Let me show you this cool new technology ... " said Holloway, swiftly changing the subject, and producing a prototype Tablet PC - due for launch in November.
The Boss did ask him whether he thought that Vodafone was right to sell the Jornada as a PC notebook replacement, but Holloway was too tactful to reply.
