Who got fired for snapping Steve Jobs?

No pictures! - hacks at the Apple Expo were astonished to discover that Steve Jobs has become infected with the Hollywood syndrome, when they trooped into a Q&A session here in Paris. "Leave your cameras outside" said flunkies. Why?

Finding out why, turns out to be a challenge that even Sniffer couldn't sniff out. He did ask. "Why no pictures?"

The Apple staff went to a lot of trouble not to answer. "We like to have photographs of our executives in an environment," was the first try. Yes, but why? What's wrong with a brilliantly staged Q&A session with a shiny white Apple logo in the background, and nicely product-placed bottles of Smartwatersport mineral water at each chromium stool?

"Well, we go to a lot of trouble to make sure we manage pictures of Steve and the executives."

Yes, we think we got that. But WHY!?

"Well, we prefer to manage these things."

Here's the question, guys: What could possibly go wrong, if someone takes a picture of Steve Jobs on a stage, answering questions? "We just prefer to manage these things carefully ... "

It's pretty clear, isn't it? Someone, somewhere, once took an unflattering picture of Mr Jobs, and someone inside Apple got fired for failing to prevent it, right? Was he scratching his balls? was he yawning? was he half way through a course of dental treatment? picking his nose? asleep?

Anybody who knows, feel free to pass on a tip. It's clearly too sensitive for Apple staff to deal with ...
