Today's schedule is sparse: keynotes only. Vic Gundotra is due to start his opening keynote at 2 pm (Barcelona time, which is an hour later than GMT). "This talk will discuss the broad significance of XML Web Services. It will highlight the evolution in Microsoft's strategy, including the thinking and motivations behind the bet Microsoft has made on .NET."

Vic Gundotra is a General Manager of the Microsoft .NET Platform Strategy Group. He's not focusing specifically on mobile: he's scheduled to demonstrate how XML Web Services will evolve forward and the role of Microsoft's developer tools in assisting developers to take advantage of the new XML Web Services model. And then there's a 4 PM second keynote by David Thompson - Vice President, Windows Server Product Group.

This keynote session "will review the enterprise features within the Microsoft Windows platform such as management, security, reliability and performance and take a look at the new features within the next release of the Windows Server, Windows .NET which are designed to address future computing demands." Finally this session will conclude "by looking at the roadmap for the Windows platform and the investments being made to drive future application requirements. "
