Intel finalises dates for European Developer Forum in Berlin
by Guy Kewney | posted on 19 March 2003
Last year's Intel Developer Forum was the first time the world heard about the "Banias" technology, which makes the bulk of Centrino. This year, it will be held from April 28 - 30 2003, at the International Congress Centrum (ICC), Berlin.
The IDF isn't just a promotional fest for Intel - though it is that, too! - but is also an important industry event attracting over 1000 hardware and software developers seeking vital technology insight from the market leader.
But what attracts a lot of delegates is the chance to meet some particularly senior Intel executives, who do presentations. This year, the list of VIIPs (very important Intel people) looks to be a bit down, but even so, there are some big names on the schedule, if they do actually show up as planned.
The convergence of voice and data technologies is a prevailing issue for companies looking to expand their business infrastructure or create the foundation to serve their needs today and in the future. This year's European IDF will address the communications needs for a range of environments from enterprise organisations to service providers, demonstrating solution that enable the paradigm shift in the way business communications are conducted. This will be the third European IDF that highlights Intel's investment and focus on communications in this strategically important market.
