After the hype: the reality of N-Gage - a tour
by Guy Kewney | posted on 21 July 2003
You can get your chance to play with the new mobile games machine that lets you play against other mobile gamers - Nokia's N-Gage - because the company is doing a 50-city tour of Europe to show it off. And all are welcome. Fancy your chances?
The game-phone doesn't actually ship till october 7th, but for two months before that, starting August 9th in Helsinki, you can take the N-Gage Challenge.
During the Tour it will be possible to follow the N-Gage Challenge online at http://www.n-gage.com and see who is winning, and who is losing.
The highest scoring players above the age of 18 from each country will be invited to compete in a European final in Paris on October 4, 2003 where one overall winner will be crowned European N-Gage Champion.
The tour schedule will be posted on the site on August 6th. I wish I could tell you how to get some practice in early! - but it looks as if all contestants will be beginners at the start, and only the quickest learners will win.
